Paper Abstract:      This paper describes a filtering method to utilize mediator’s diversity. A recommender system with collaborative filtering is attractive for acquiring knowledge from a massive amount of information. However, using the system repeatedly decreases the diversity of information and it makes difficult to gain new information. In order to resolve this problem, we focused on the mediator, who is a key person for information distribution and transmission. Mediators often own rich and diverse information because ones with weak ties are located midway between different organizations. Using mediators, we ensure the diversity of information, and aims continuous acquisition of valuable knowledge. The formulation which is needed to build a mediator-based system and a simple example are presented.
